In January-February 2025, DTEK Energy allocated about UAH 720 million to repair and restore thermal power plants damaged by hostile shelling. This is a quarter of the total investment in TPPs' restoration for the whole of 2024.

The company continues to carry out repairs in a continuous mode, as the scale of destruction caused by massive enemy attacks remains unprecedented. As of last summer, 90% of the company's thermal generation facilities were damaged or destroyed.

‘Ukrainian power engineers are completing the third wartime heating season. Thanks to careful preparation and joint efforts on the energy front, we managed to get through this winter. However, the work to restore the facilities continues non-stop. And they will continue throughout the year and beyond, as there is still a lot of work to be done. We are doing everything possible to prepare for the summer peaks and the next winter,’ said DTEK Energy CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

In 2024, DTEK Energy invested UAH 3.6 billion in the restoration of TPPs and another UAH 7.5 billion in Ukrainian coal mining.

In total, since the start of the full-scale invasion, the company's TPPs have been attacked 205 times. The attacks have injured 56 power engineers and killed 4.
