DTEK Energy’s machine builders continue to work at an intensified pace to supply Ukrainian mines with the necessary equipment at the height of the enterprises’ preparations for the coming heating season.
In January–August, DTEK Energy’s machine-building enterprises manufactured and repaired more than 1,100 units of mining equipment, and also produced 1.4 million spare parts and components. These included eight new roadheaders and shearers, as well as three electric motors of Ukrainian manufacture.
“Today, all the efforts of Ukrainian power engineers, repair workers, miners and machine builders are focused on getting our country through the coming heating season. Power engineers and repair workers continue to restore TPPs after shelling 24/7, miners are extracting coal, and machine builders are manufacturing new mining machines, repairing mining equipment and producing the components needed for more reliable operation of coal mining enterprises. We are doing everything possible so that, this winter, Ukrainians have light and heat for as long as possible, despite the threat of new attacks on the energy sector,” noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO of DTEK Energy.
Background
By the end of 2025, DTEK Energy had invested UAH 6.7 billion in supporting Ukrainian coal mining, and over the previous three years (2022–2024) – more than UAH 18 billion. The funds were channelled into driving and repairing mine workings, equipping longwalls and supporting the production capacities of the mines.
