DTEK Energy’s machine builders continue to work at an intensified pace to supply Ukrainian mines with the equipment necessary for extracting coal for the heating season.
In January–September 2026, they manufactured and repaired more than 1,200 units of mining equipment, and also produced about 1.5 million spare parts and components. These included 10 new roadheaders and shearers, as well as four electric motors.
“Preparing for winter is a joint effort of the entire energy team. Today, miners, power engineers, repair workers and machine builders work as a single mechanism, because the readiness of the energy sector for the most difficult period of the year depends on everyone acting in concert. Our machine builders not only manufacture and repair equipment, but also test new technical solutions and check their performance in real production conditions. We understand how high the price of reliability in winter is, so everyone is doing their utmost to get through the heating season prepared and to support more reliable operation of the energy sector despite all the challenges of the war,” noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO of DTEK Energy.
