Personnel changes have taken place at DTEK Pershotravenske Mine Group: Ruslan Khavrenkov, a manager with more than 20 years of experience in the coal industry, has been appointed Director of the enterprise. The previous Director, Valerii Hrechushkin, continued to work outside the company.
DTEK Pershotravenske Mine Group has a new director
Ruslan Khavrenkov has a reputation of a true professional and a promising leader. Over the years, he worked his way up from a mining site to the Deputy Director for Production at DTEK Pavlogradske Mine Group. He has extensive experience in organizing the preparation of production and coal mining, well familiar with the specifics of Western Donbass mines.
The new Director’s main task is to organize the safest operation of the enterprise in order to preserve the life and health of all employees of the Mine Group. He will have to continue working to improve production efficiency in order to ensure the competitive cost of coal which is mined at Pershotravenske Mine Group.
“Directors of all enterprises of DTEK Pavlogradugol are facing a serious challenge today: to learn how to operate in the new energy market. To do this, it is necessary not only to ensure the production of coal and mine workings according to the schedule but also to keep the cost of our coal at a level that will allow DTEK’s mines and thermal generation to compete with other producers of fuel and electricity. We are confident that the country should use the maximum of domestic resources and not depend on supplies from abroad. This is the basis for Ukraine’s energy independence, and jobs for the country’s residents, and taxes for the regions. I am sure that Ruslan Khavrenkov has enough knowledge and experience to achieve the desired result,” Serhii Voronin, General Director of DTEK Pavlogradugol, commented on the new appointment.
DTEK Pershotravenske Mine Group is one of the key mine groups of DTEK Pavlogradugol, a “pilot” enterprise for the implementation of the “Digital Mine” coal mining project. At the end of 2019, coal production at two mines of the Mine Group (Stepova and Yuvileina) amounted to almost 3,800,000 tons.
