Ukrainian utility companies are starting to prepare for a cold season. Power engineers of Prydniprovska TPP have already started the maintenance of plant’s heating networks. Everything is being done to ensure that houses, schools, kindergartens, and hospitals in Dnipro have reliable heat supply during a cold season.
DTEK Prydniprovska TPP supply heat to over 50 thousand of Dnipro citizens residing on the left bank of the Dnipro river. This is why the power engineers of Prydniprovska TPP prepare the heating networks for operation during an autumn and winter season well in advance. So far, they have already replaced over 200 meters of faulty pipework of local heating networks.
“DTEK is a reliable and responsible partner of the state and community. So, we start preparing heating networks in advance to ensure their reliable operation when this is the most needed. Currently, the specialists from our repair business replace old metal pipes with new pre-insulated ones. This will help reduce losses in the network, so consumers will receive more heat. Soon, we will perform hydraulic tests of our equipment and fill the pipework with water to locate any possible leaks that were not sealed during repairs,” commented Anatolii Borychevskyi, director of DTEK Prydniprovska TPP.
Now our repairmen replace damaged sections of the pipework thermal insulation. About 500 meters of heating networks will be insulated by the beginning of a heating season. Meanwhile, the department of heating networks continues accepting certificates of readiness from schools, kindergartens, hospitals, and other social infrastructure facilities serviced by DTEK Prydniprovska TPP to make sure that the heating season can be started once a relevant resolution is issued by the municipal authorities.
