The work of 176 lavas at the Stepnaya mine has started at Pershotravenskoye State University. Its length is 300 m, coal reserves are more than 570 thousand. tons. The staff of the №1 section under the leadership of Igor Gretsko plans to extract coal from this lava for about 10 months with a load of 2,750 tons of coal per day. UAH 21.5 million was spent on equipping this lava. These funds were used to purchase parts for mining equipment, overhaul the SP-251.15 reloader and sections of the Ostroj tunneling complex.

The miners of the Pavlogradskaya mine of the DTEK mine management of the same name also have a new front of work. The length of the new 121 lava is 220 meters, the planned production is at least two thousand tons per day. The team of the №5 coal mining site under the leadership of Denis Neznamov is entrusted to work out the new face. The 121st face is equipped with the KD-80 mechanized complex, the UKD-200/500 combine and the SPTs-271M scraper conveyor. This treatment plant was overhauled at the expense of DTEK last year, and has already successfully completed one lava.

“We know what a significant contribution DTEK makes to the development of the energy industry, constantly providing its coal companies with everything they need - materials, personal protective equipment and equipment. It is very important that our miners can work safely and extract the coal they need now. We will try to work harmoniously and efficiently. Especially since we have all the necessary modern equipment for this, ”says Artem Velma, foreman of the Pavlogradskoye coal mining plant.
At the mine "Zapadno-Donbasskaya" of Ternovsky SHU, miners of the third mining site under the leadership of Alexei Lastovchenko will work out a new 1,041 face by November 2021. DTEK has invested more than UAH 50 million in the preparation of this lava. For this money, materials were purchased to perform repairs in the conditions of the mine (node replacement) sections of mechanical fasteners, scraper conveyor and reloader. Also the capital repair of the CIS-200/32 oil station and VSPK reducers (the taken-out system of giving of the combine) is executed. It is planned that the load on the new lava will be more than 2 thousand. tons of coal per day.
“Our guys understand what a special responsibility now rests on their shoulders. In this difficult time for the country, it is necessary to steadily provide thermal power plants with Ukrainian thermal coal, so that in winter there would be light and heat in the homes of Ukrainians, ”said Oleksiy Lastovchenko, head of coal mining section No. 3 at ShU Ternovskoye.
At the mine. N.I. Stashkov of the Dnieper mine production department commissioned the 602nd northern lava, small in terms of reserves - only 118 thousand tons of coal, but it is very important for the collective of the mine management and the second mining area.
"For the timely launch of the longwall, we, together with the downhole equipment repair section, repaired the UKD 200-500 combine, the KD-80 complex and the SP-251 conveyor. Our team is committed to uninterrupted coal mining for this heating season," notes Dmitry Bereza, site manager for coal mining No. 2 of ShU Dniprovskoe.
By the end of 2020, three more new longwalls will be commissioned at these enterprises: two at Pavlogradskoye, and one at Ternovsky. DTEK Energy miners are always ready to make a significant contribution to the country's energy independence.
