In 2019, DTEK Dobropil’s’ka Coal Enrichment Plant produced 2,600,000 tons of coal concentrate for Ukrainian thermal power plants

Record 4,400,000 tons of raw coal, mined at DTEK Dobropolyeugol and DTEK Pavlogradugol mines, were processed into concentrate at the plant. In addition, Dobropil’s’ka Coal Enrichment Plant exceeded the annual processing plan by 146,000 tons, almost doubling the Plant’s production capacity. On average, Dobropilska Coal Enrichment Plant processed more than 12,000 tons of coal daily.

Nadiia Sudak, Director of DTEK Dobropil’s’ka CEP, said that the well-coordinated work and mutual relations in the plant’s team, upgrade of equipment and keeping it in good working order helped to support the production process, “For our part, we always try to create an almost family atmosphere in the team, and DTEK supports us in implementing ideas for improving the Plant. Thus, in 2019, the company invested UAH 46,400,000 in the development of Dobropil’s’ka CEP.”

These funds were spent on the construction of the second stage of a modern waste dump, overhaul of elevators, belt conveyors, screens of GBRD, the main building, centrifugal plants, and current repairs.

Dobropil’s’ka CEP dispatched more than 2,600,000 tons of high-quality domestic coal-concentrate to Kryvorizka, Zaporizka, Ladyzhynska, Prydniprovska, and Burshtynska Thermal Power Plants. It will suffice to generate enough electricity to supply four million Ukrainian families with electricity for almost three months.

UAH 71.5 million was allocated by DTEK for the development of the Plant. These funds were used to purchase new equipment and overhaul the necessary equipment.

“We have replaced two TABOR boxes, two gearboxes, and a rotor of the OGSh-751 centrifuge. 7 pumps, 25 belt conveyors, 3 centrifuge rotors, and a hydrocyclone were overhauled. This made it possible to reduce downtime and achieve the planned production targets,” Maksym Shkirenko, mechanic of the main production, noted.

In 2020, the Plant team plans to enrich and deliver more than 6,500,000 tons of coal to the power industry.
