The length of the new mining face is 274 metres. The planned face output is 1839 tonnes a day. DTEK invested UAH 132M in the new longwal face preparation. To put the mining face No. 863 in operation, among other things, brand-new, high-performance equipment was purchased: a UKD 200/500 shearer with a loader for UAH 38M which will be used in Ternivska Mine Group for the first time; a scraper conveyor for UAH 46M; and new electrical equipment. Also, for this mining face, the sections of the KD-80 powered supports were thoroughly repaired, and the SP-251 scraper conveyor was replaced part-by-part. The cost of works amounted to UAH 28M.

The new longwall face will be mined by workers of the section No. 2 headed by Volodymyr Kalinin.

Vasyl Snihur, Director of DTEK Ternivske Mine Group:

“Putting the new longwall face in operation is the result of the entire team’s work, and it means good prospects for the entire Mine Group. I would like to thank the miners of the section No. 2 for their excellent work, reliability and their attitude to their work and the enterprise as a whole. The workers of this section have provided themselves with stable work and wages, while providing Ukrainian TPPs with coal. I am sure that the miners will not stop there, such ambitious plans can only be brought to life by true winners.”
