Methane ignition occurred at Geroiv Kosmosu Mine: all miners were urgently evacuated from the mine

Today, November 15, at 9:30 am in the morning, methane ignited at longwall 1126 of Geroiv Kosmosu Mine. An emergency response plan was enacted immediately. All the miners working underground at the time when the incident happened were evacuated and examined by medics.
Following the examination, two miners who sustained minor thermal burns were prescribed outpatient therapy.
An emergency response control point was set up. Currently, emergency response operations are in progress at longwall 1126.
