The auxiliary mine rescue teams (SHGs) at the mines of DTEK Dobropolyeugol include the most skilled miners and managers. These people are involved in the liquidation of accidents and emergencies as soon as the accident occurred, even before the arrival of the Militant Mine Rescue Detachment. Miners-rescuers regularly undergo training in emergency rescue techniques in order to hone their skills to automatism.

On March 19-20, such occupations were held at the Almaznaya and Dobropolskaya Shu mines in Dobropolskaya. To conduct trainings the service of a labor safety of mine management has invited volunteers of the Dobropolskaya city organization "Red Cross of Ukraine".

Rescue miners trained to carry out cardiopulmonary resuscitation, which included indirect cardiac massage, learned to do artificial respiration, stopped bleeding, sorted out the intricacies of first aid for fractures and transportation features of the victims.

Coach Irina Pavlenko, chairman of the Dobropolskaya city organization Red Cross notes: "We are striving to teach the residents of the region the methods of providing first aid to the victims, thereby reducing mortality. We want people to be kinder, more merciful, help each other. Elementary first aid skills, first, relieve the fear of harming the victim, which often makes people stay away. Secondly, they help to save a person's life before the doctors arrive. "

"Such lessons are very important, and they need to be held more often, attracting as many participants as possible," says Yevgeny Prokopenko, a mining master of the RVR-1. "Everyone who not only works at the mine should be able to stop the blood, regain breathing, or properly fix the fractured limb . After all, in an emergency situation, the account often goes for a minute and before the arrival of medical personnel a person can die. "
