On their day off, about 100 employees of the Zaporizhzhya TPP and their families worked on the greening of our city. Acacias, oaks, lindens, maples and ornamental plums will complement the flora of the oldest micro-district of Energodar.
"There is a tradition for DTEK's power engineers to conduct ecological subbotniks.Every year we try to make our city cleaner and greener. From the first microdistrict the history of construction of our TPP, the history of Energodar formation began. Here, rest young mummies with children and our dear pensioners. Therefore, we chose this place for planting young plants. I want to prolong the green life of this wonderful square and save this place for rest to future generations, "says Irina Lekovetskien, head of the ecology department at DTEK of Zaporizhzhya TPP.
"We try to participate in all volunteer actions of the company all together - the family. Now we bring our little daughter, we accustom her to work and careful attitude to nature. Our family is impressed by the fact that this is not a one-off action, but systematic activities, in which a large number of employees are involved. And always such subbotniks are organized and friendly. And the mood after such work improves at times! We, for example, inspired by the volunteer movement, organized an additional subbotnik. Already in my own yard. A good example is contagious, "says engineer-designer of the department for preparation and repair of DTEK Zaporizhzhya TPP Eugene Ogli.
Similar volunteer actions were held in 22 settlements of Ukraine, where DTEK enterprises operate, more than 3,600 people took part in them.
