Dobropillia Drift Miners Report a Record and Plan to Improve Their Performance in 2018

In total, the drifters of DTEK Dobropilska Mine Group have advanced by 3.9 kilometres of tunnelling by the end of 2017. In 2018, the miners are faced with the task of a quick preparation of the northern longwall face No. 9 for production site No. 4 that will replace the old longwall face, the coal mining of which will be finished in April.

Brigades of Olexii Dehtiarev and Ruslan Kyslyi will be assisted in accomplishing their tasks by rapid advancing method that can be achieved thanks to superior labour organisation and use of modern advancing equipment, namely, the newly-arrived EBZ-160 b shearer. Another no less important factor in achieving high performance is the motivation of workers.

Kostiantyn Vialyi, Director of DTEK Dobropilska Mine Group:

“Miners realise very well that there is no production without advancing. Therefore 2018 should become the year of advancing for the Dobropilske Mine Group. For that matter, DTEK will channel about UAH 600M for the preparation and commissioning of new longwall faces in the mines of Dobropoleugol. So the example of the brigades headed by Olexii Dehtiarev and Ruslan Kyslyi should be followed by Almazna Mine drifters who also have high potential. Moreover, I am sure that this year all brigades of our Mine Group will catch up with the leaders, and new production records will not be long in coming.”
