Dnipro has already got heat: DTEK Prydniprovska TPP started a heating season
A day earlier, apartments and houses located on the left bank started receiving heat. The heating season was opened in accordance with the resolution issued by Dnipro city mayor.

This year, preparations for a heating season and repairs of the power plant heating pipe network started already in the summer. The heat supply system of DTEK Prydniprovska TPP was filled with fuel on the 1st of November. The length of the pipework exceeds 40 km, so it took almost 24 hours to fill in the system. From now, the heat in the houses of Dnipro residents depends on the “receiving party,” i.e., the companies that service houses. As soon as they open bolts, the heating radiators in houses will warm up.

“We performed maintenance of shut-off valves of pipework networks Nos. 1, 2, and 3, replaced damaged sections of those pipelines, and checked heat meters. To prevent and repair pipe breaks, we pressure-tested manifolds of thermal networks 1 and 2. DTEK is a reliable partner of the local community, and Dnipro residents will have light and heat during a winter season,” commented Anatolii Borychevskyi, director of DTEK Prydniprovska TPP.

Equipment is being prepared for a cold season as well. Maintenance works were performed at power unit 9 in the summer, and repairs to power unit 10 will be finished soon. These power units are environmentally friendly and cost-effective, so their operations are prioritized.

Over 260 thousand tons of coal are stocked at the fuel warehouse of Prydniprovska TPP. All these efforts are aimed at ensuring that Dnipro residents have light and heat in the winter.
