55 territories of Ukraine will participate in the contest of mini-grants of DTEK "The Whole with Their Own Hands"
DTEK Energo starts accepting applications for the annual contest "The Whole with Their Own Hands". Any resident of 55 territories, where the company's business develops, can take part in the project and win up to 55 thousand UAH for the realization of his idea of improving his native city. Also within the next stage will be implemented 15 major projects worth up to 500 thousand UAH. The total budget of the contest is 30 million UAH. Applications are accepted from March 19 to May 1, 2018.

Innovation of this season - projects on energy efficiency in housing and communal services and the environment will receive preferences and additional points (5-10) of the competitive commission. Details of the conditions of the contest can be found here.

"We are happy to see how the contest" The Hulk with our own hands "covers more and more active residents: if in the first season 100 people took part, last year there were already 16,000 of them! The requests of the residents also change: earlier these were playgrounds, and for six years this need has largely been closed. Now in the foreground people have a question of energy efficiency and ecology. This is completely correlated with our values for the development of energy-efficient technologies and the greening of production. That is why these two problems are in the focus of the new season of the "Gromada". Also, since last year we have been implementing major projects, enabling residents to choose exactly what they consider to be the most important. So last year in Kurakhovo appeared climbing wall, in Happiness in Luhansk - a city football field with artificial surface, and in Energodar they put in order the territory in the center of the city near the hotel of the same name. We really hope for interesting and useful ideas of residents in the new season, "said Tatyana Overina, Director for Regional Policy of DTEK Energo.

This year the competition of mini-grants will cover 55 territories in seven areas: Dnepropetrovsk, Donetsk and Lugansk (controlled territory), Vinnytsia, Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Zaporizhzhya.

Assess the competitive work will be commissions created in the territories. It also provides online voting through the social partnership site http://spp-dtek.com.ua, where residents can choose the best projects, 10 of which in each city / district will receive an additional 5 points in the rating of the competitive commission. After the main competition, the national stage will be announced, where the relevant commission, headed by the UN Global Compact, will determine the 5 best projects in all territories. They will receive an additional 20 to 100 thousand UAH.

Since last year, it was decided to expand the project's capabilities and move from local residents' problems to the implementation of large-scale projects. For this purpose, major urban improvement projects worth up to 500 will be implemented in 15 territories (Pavlograd, Pershotravensk, Ternovka, Zelenodolsk OTG, Dobropolye, Belitskoe, Belozerskoe, Novodonetsk, Kurakhovo, Myronivskyi, Ladyzhin, Burshtyn, Dobrotvor, Happiness, Energodar) thousand UAH. Residents will be able to choose among the 3 ideas exactly what they consider to be the main one for further implementation.

Also we remind that since 2016 the active participation in the competition is accepted not only by the citizens, but also by the inhabitants of the villages of the territories of the activities of DTEK. It was thanks to their extraordinary activity that the contest changed the name from "The Cities with Their Own Hands" to "Gromada with their own hands".
