DTEK Energy's mechanical engineers continue to work hard to support the needs of Ukrainian miners in underground mining equipment (UME).
In order to lay a more reliable foundation for Ukraine to get through the upcoming heating season, DTEK's machine-building companies manufactured and repaired 374 units of underground mining equipment in the first three months of this year. Among the key ones are 5 new roadheaders and shearers.
In addition, mechanical engineers supplied 273 thousand spare parts and components to meet the needs of Ukrainian miners.
"After the unprecedented scale of damage caused by the enemy's attacks on the energy infrastructure in March and April this year, we have to intensify our efforts to be ready for winter. At the moment, we are focusing all our resources on eliminating the aftermath of the shelling - we are still clearing the rubble at some power plants - and restoring them. But we are also doing everything we can to maintain the rate and output of coal production required for reliable operation of thermal generation during peak demand and the heating season. We also count on the reliable work of mechanical engineers who provide Ukrainian miners with the equipment they need for mining," said DTEK Energy CEO Ildar Salieiev.
