The machine builders also provided more than 150,000 spare parts and components to support the miners' needs.

‘We are approaching the end of this season and are already preparing for the next heating season. We understand that in times of war, the energy front must be reinforced and reliable from all sides. This means continuing to restore the TPPs‘ capacities, providing new coal longwalls to ensure that thermal generation has enough fuel, and the daily work of machine builders to ensure that miners have all the necessary equipment,’ said DTEK Energy CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

For reference.

In January, DTEK Energy's miners put into operation the first two new coal longwalls this year. Last year, the company's investments in Ukrainian coal mining totalled UAH 7.5 billion. These funds were spent on the construction and repair of capital mine workings, equipping coal faces, supplying mines with tunnelling equipment, underground mine transport and projects to support production facilities.
