Ukraine will definitely achieve victory and prosper under a peaceful sky. With faith in this and concern for our country's energy-independent future, DTEK continues supporting the “Energy Efficient Schools: A New Generation” project. The training courses help children understand the details of energy efficiency and learn to protect the environment at the same time. And learning is even more fun thanks to a series of contests with gifts within the project.
The other day, the winners of the intensive summer programme “Energy Leaders’ Courses” received presents, including a loudspeaker, thermos mugs and a power bank. Pupils of Bilozerske School No. 18 took four prize-winning places at once, and the school was included in the list of the seven most active educational institutions in Ukraine.
Viacheslav Holota, Deputy Director of Bilozerske mine at DTEK Services, and Andrii Khoroshavin, the manager for liaising with local authorities working at the enterprise, congratulated the schoolchildren and presented them with gifts and certificates.
“Despite all the wartime challenges, the “Energy Efficient Schools: A New Generation” project is running successfully. We are proud that schoolchildren in the Donetsk Region are actively involved in it and display high results in their studies. We are sure that thanks to this project, more children will become energy and environmentally literate”, Andrii Khoroshavin noted.
In addition to the winners, participation certificates were awarded to five other students, and the school staff and mathematics teacher Olha Boiko received thanks and commendations.
“We've been with the project for seven years now and have no plans to stop. It develops children's leadership qualities and teamwork, teaches them to take responsibility for their home, city, and country, thus helping them build an energy-efficient and bright future for Ukraine”, Olha Boiko believes.
We invite teachers, parents, and children to join the project because nowadays knowledge about energy efficiency and frugality is more relevant than ever before.
