In January–August this year, DTEK ENERGY mines put 21 new longwalls into operation and produced almost 11 million tonnes of G grade coal. In particular, in August, the company’s mines produced more than 1.2 million tonnes of fuel and put 4 new longwalls into operation.
To ensure stable and continuous production, about 59 km of new mine workings were prepared at the mines of DTEK ENERGY within 8 months this year.
In total, this year, the company plans to produce about 17 million tonnes of G-grade coal. By the end of the year, it is planned to put 11 more new longwalls into operaation.
‘We do our best to start the heating season with maximum capacity. We make preparations in several sectors. We intensified the repair, and 17 out of 28 scheduled repairs of TPP units were carried out. Since the beginning of the year, UAH 1.4 billion has already been allocated for these purposes, and we will invest another UAH 1.1 billion by the end of the year. Our mines produced 11 million tonnes of coal and put 21 new longwalls into operation. Ukrainian coals are a priority, but we additionally replenish reserves through imports to ensure the stability of the Ukrainian energy system. We were the first among domestic companies to import fuel from Poland, Kazakhstan, and the USA. All these efforts are aimed at ensuring that Ukrainians have light and warmth. I can assure you that miners and power engineers are making extra efforts to this end,’ noted Ildar Salieiev, DTEK ENERGY CEO.
As of September 20, coal reserves in the warehouses of DTEK ENERGY TPPs increased to 706 thousand tonnes. In August, they increased by 14%, or 77 thousand tonnes. This was achieved both due to own production and replenishment of reserves through imports.
