DTEK Honours the Employees Who Help Ukraine’s Energy Sector Hold On
To mark the company’s 21st anniversary, DTEK has honoured the employees who help Ukraine’s energy sector hold on. Those who worked in peacetime and stayed at their posts when the full-scale war began, and those who joined the team only very recently. Those who restore equipment after shelling, go down into the mine, build machinery and find solutions where, only yesterday, none existed. Among those honoured are 85 DTEK Energy employees.
Some proposed a technical solution that helped restore equipment faster. Some kept their composure in a critical situation and saved their colleagues. Some moved equipment out of areas where hostilities were already under way, so that it could keep working for Ukraine’s energy sector.
Among those honoured, 76 of our employees received certificates of honour from DTEK and DTEK Energy. Nine colleagues received the DTEK Gold Badge — the company’s highest corporate award:
- Serhii Hierasiev — driver of motor vehicles fleet;
- Serhii Lysenko — shift supervisor at Coal Preparation Plant;
- Vitalii Podorozhnii — section head at a mine;
- Oleksandr Nemyrovskyi — senior foreman at a repair enterpreise of a TPP;
- Ihor Parashchyn — head of a unit at a TPP;
- Pavlo Loish — electric locomotive operator at a mine;
- Serhii Vasyliev — longwall face miner at a mine;
- Maksym Zelenskyi — chief specialist at a repair enterprise at a TPP;
- Ruslan Lakhotskyi — senior foreman at a repair enterprise at a TPP.
Each award has its own story. But all these people are united by one thing — their work helps to be a reliable pillar of Ukraine’s energy sector even in the most difficult times.
