DTEK Energy’s machine builders continue to work at an intensified pace to supply Ukrainian mines with the necessary equipment.
In January–June 2026, the company’s machine-building enterprises manufactured and repaired 923 units of mining equipment. They also produced over 1 million spare parts and components. These included eight new roadheaders and shearers, as well as three electric motors of Ukrainian manufacture.
“We have got through all the wartime heating seasons thanks to the well-coordinated work of all production areas. Not least owing to the intensified involvement of Ukrainian machine builders, who supply the mines with the necessary equipment, machinery and components. This makes it possible to maintain more reliable coal mining and, consequently, to lay a stronger foundation for getting through the summer consumption peaks and the next heating season,” noted Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO of DTEK Energy.
Background
In 2022–2025, DTEK Energy invested almost UAH 25 billion in supporting Ukrainian coal mining. The funds were channelled into driving and repairing mine workings, equipping longwalls and supporting the production capacities of the mines.
