DTEK Energy's power engineers have completed the current maintenance and added one more TPP's power generating unit with a capacity of up to 150 MW to the Ukrainian energy system.
The additional generating capacity will help strengthen the reliability of the thermal generation during peak electricity consumption and thus ensure a more confident heating season.
This is already the third power generating unit at DTEK's TPP to be put back into operation after maintenance in October.
Since beginning of the year, energy workers have maintained 18 out of 19 power units scheduled for the start of the heating season. As of today, 95% of the planned maintenance activities for the start of the winter season have been completed. According to the schedule, another power generating unit of DTEK's TPP is planned to be added to the energy system in the coming days.
In total, DTEK Energy plans to maintain 27 power generating units by the end of this year to ensure reliable operation during the autumn and winter.
The company's investments for the scheduled maintenance in January-September of this year amounted to UAH 2.8 billion, and it plans to increase them up to UAH 3.9 billion by the end of 2023.
