Coal mining enterprises of DTEK Energy keep working hard to ensure the coal required for the Ukrainian Thermal Power Plant operations.
Thus, miners put 23 new coal longwalls into operation in January – November this year. 3 more longwalls are to be put into operation in December.
“To ensure thermal generation with sufficient amount of fuel to operate at its maximum during consumption peaks, especially in winter, Ukrainian miners work hard all year long. They prepare and put into operation new coal longwalls every month. Following this year, we will have 26 longwalls opened. All this is a basis for the reliable maneuver capability of the Ukrainian energy system, and, therefore, the power supply and heating in the homes of Ukrainians,” said Ildar Saleev, CEO of DTEK Energy.
Following 2023, the company investments in Ukrainian coal production are expected at the level of UAH 7.4 bln, which is twice as much as in 2022 (UAH 3.8 bln).
