Employees of DTEK Energy's machine-building plants continue to supply equipment to Ukrainian underground mines and help them produce coal.
Over the first ten months of this year, the company's machine-building plants manufactured and repaired 1,039 units of mining equipment. Key products include 11 new roadheaders and shearers. The mechanical engineers also supplied 831,000 spare parts and components to meet the needs of miners.
‘Recently, russia has inflicted another massive strike on the Ukrainian energy sector. Our thermal power plants have also been seriously damaged. However, the power engineers are not giving up and are carrying out restoration work 24/7. Ukrainian miners are also working hard to provide thermal power generation with the necessary fuel. Machine builders are also at work to ensure that miners have all the equipment they need to produce coal,' said DTEK Energy CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.
Owing to the support of mechanical engineers in providing equipment, the company's miners have commissioned 18 new longwall faces in the first ten months of this year. Another 8 are planned to be commissioned by the end of the year.
The company's investments in Ukrainian coal mining are expected to reach about UAH 7.6 billion by the end of the year.
