To accomplish this, they manufactured and repaired 716 units of mining equipment in the period from January to November this year. The key items included 14 new road headers and coal harvesters. Over the 11 months of the year, the machine builders also provided miners with almost 990,000 spare parts and components.
Thanks to the work of machine builders, miners continue to extract coal at the maximum capacity and maintain the necessary fuel reserves to ensure the reliable operation of thermal generation and the Ukrainian energy system as a whole.
“All the efforts of power engineers, maintenance technicians, miners, and machine builders have the same objective — to ensure that Ukrainians have electricity and heat despite the consequences of the war and the resumption of energy terrorism by the enemy. Our machine-building enterprises bear huge responsibility, as they are in charge of ensuring that mines have proper and reliable equipment to maintain maximum coal production, and, therefore, that Ukrainian thermal power plants have sufficient fuel to operate throughout the entire heating season,” Ildar Saleev, the CEO of DTEK Energy said.
