DTEK Energy Invests Over UAH 2.3 Bln in Repairs and Rehabilitation of TPPs To Ensure a More Reliable Heating Season

DTEK Energy's power engineers continue to do their best to restore as many facilities as possible that have been damaged or destroyed as a result of numerous enemy attacks on the energy sector.

To this end, in the first nine months of 2024, the company invested over UAH 2.3 bln of its own funds in the repair and restoration of thermal power plants.

‘We are entering the third heating season in the context of war. It is obvious that this time it will be extremely difficult, as the enemy continues to pursue its plan to plunge Ukrainians into darkness. But the power engineers are in place to prevent the enemy from doing so. They are working 24/7 to restore thermal power plants to return as much capacity as possible to the grid before and during the winter. The main thing is that Ukrainians should have electricity and heat for as long as possible,’ said Ildar Salieiev, CEO of DTEK Energy.

This year alone, the company is investing about UAH 3.8 bln in repairs and rehabilitation of its TPPs. This is in line with last year's investments.

For reference

Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, DTEK Energy's TPPs have been attacked by the enemy almost 190 times. As a result, 56 power engineers were injured and 3 were killed. In March to June this year alone, the enemy carried out seven massive attacks on the company's TPPs. The shelling destroyed or damaged about 90% of DTEK's thermal generation capacities.
