Burshtynska TPP maintains the situation under control, we are working as usual

UPD: Today, at 00:52 a.m., the power engineers resumed the operation of power generating unit No. 7. As a reminder, the unit was disconnected following an accident on November 28.

The plant continuously supports output of 1,236 MW. Power generating units No. 1, 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11 and 12 are operating.

As of 10:30 a.m. on November 30, 2021, two employees of the plant with 30% and 60% skin burn underwent skin cleansing surgery and were transferred to the intensive care unit where they stayed overnight.

Now, their condition is evaluated as stable, the guys walk on their own, and the pressure is stable as well. Soon the bandaging of burn wounds will be done. Furthermore, the administration of Burshtynska TPP initiated blood donations and provided necessary medicines for injured persons. Representatives of the station are now in the hospital.

Two workers of Galremenergo are in the hospital in Burshtyn, feeling well, their lives are not under threat. One of them has skin burns on both hands and another one only on one hand.

The plant keeps the situation under control and is in constant contact with doctors and relatives.

Two employees of Burshtyn TPP are in Ivano-Frankivsk burn care facility.

One of them is in the emergency room with up to 60% of skin burned, and his condition is critical but stable. The patient has undergone dermopurification treatment.

Another employee of the plant has approximately 30% of skin burn and has already been transferred to the intensive care unit. His condition is stable, and doctors are also stating a gradual improvement.
The two workers of Galremenergo are in the hospital in Burshtyn. They received minor injuries on their hands and faces. They are currently undergoing medical procedures.

The plant management keeps in touch with the relatives of injured persons and doctors, providing them with all the necessary help and medications. We will keep providing updates on the health condition of the injured persons.

Energy specialists at Burshtynska TPP keep the situation under control. The plant was and is operating in a usual mode, and there was no significant impact on the power supply to the region.
At 9:20 p.m. yesterday, hot steam and water and gas mixture was discharged from the boiler furnace at Burshtynska TPP, resulting in injuries to four employees. Workers were immediately treated for first aid and transported to the hospital. Their condition is assessed by the medical professionals as stable. The incident occurred when Unit 7 was operating. According to the previous data, the accident was due to the failure of the boiler's screen pipe. The causes and circumstances of the accident are being ascertained. The company will provide injured people with all the help they might need.

The disconnection of the unit did not affect heat and power supply to the region. The plant consists of 7 power generating units with a total capacity of 1,172 MW. Burshtynska TPP has coordinated its actions with Ukrenergo. To compensate for the power, the plant was immediately switched to unit No. 4.
Also, at night, electrical engineers quickly eliminated the consequences of fumigation on the roof over the boiler in unit No. 8 on an area of 2 sq. m. The fire was extinguished prior to the fire-fighting units arriving. No victims were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

At the moment, the plant is operating in regular mode, and these events did not affect the safety of the power system.
