The frequency of enemy attacks on energy and infrastructure facilities across the country has been escalating this winter. DTEK’s thermal power plants alone have been targeted approximately 40 times. Each time, we respond to these distressing figures by repairing and restoring our equipment around the clock, a skill we’ve honed to execute in a remarkably short time.
On this occasion, the Prydniprovsk power engineers were tasked with not only salvaging their own equipment but also rescuing residents of one of Dnipro’s neighborhoods from a lack of electricity, heat, and water following damage inflicted by enemy drones. Our team had to work tirelessly, day and night. The attack occurred just as darkness was setting in. Yet, even while the entire city was under the threat of an “air raid”, our power engineers had already initiated restoration work.
Serhii Lysak, Head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, remarked that “the region is fortunate to have such dedicated power engineers and utilities” because “they are true professionals”. Our colleagues were presented with wristwatches as a token of appreciation from the head of the region:
- Vitalii Sytnyk, Senior Equipment Repair Foreman at DTEK Prydniprovsk TPP’s Equipment Repair and Maintenance Shop, TOV “INTERENERGOSERVICE”;
- Denys Sirotkin, Steam and Gas Turbine Equipment Repairman at DTEK Prydniprovsk TPP’s Equipment Repair and Maintenance Shop, TOV “INTERENERGOSERVICE”;
