Ternivka Miners Produced 3 Million Tonnes of Coal for the Ukrainian Energy Sector

On October 13, the team of Ternivske Mine Group was the first among the mine groups of DTEK PAVLOHRADCOAL to produce 3 million tonnes of ‘black gold’, which the country needs before the heating season starts.

During nine and a half months this year, miners of Ternivka have put five new longwalls into operation and prepared 15.5 km of new mine workings. Miners are fully committed to ensure stable production of G-grade coal for domestic thermal power plants.

‘The 3 million tonnes of coal produced is the result of team effort, dedicated and professional work of the mining, tunneling and auxiliary units, all departments and services of our enterprise. Each employee contributed to the team efforts. Thank you all for the teamwork! This is our worthy gift for the Ukraine’s Defender Day, because the miners of DTEK ENERGY stand up for the protection of the country’s energy independence. Our main task is to maintain the stability of the Ukrainian energy system and provide TPPs with the required amount of fuel. This is especially important during the autumn — winter period,’ said Dmytro Zabielin, Director of DTEK Ternivske Mine Group.
