To ensure reliable and uninterrupted operation of thermal power plants, especially during the heating season, within 9 months this year, DTEK ENERGY allocated almost UAH 1.7 billion for the repair of TPP units, BOP, buildings and structures (according to preliminary data).
To date, power engineers have conducted 23 out of 28 scheduled (including additional) repairs of power units of thermal power plants this year. Thus, 82% of the planned volume of the repair has been completed. Corresponding work was carried out at units of Kryvorizka, Prydniprovska, Zaporizka, Kurakhivs’ka, Luhanska, Burshtynska, Dobrotvirska and Ladyzhynska TPPs.
5 units are being repaired at Zaporizka, Kurakhivs’ka, Luhanska, Dobrotvirska and Ladyzhynska TPPs.
One more repair of power units at Burshtynska TPP is scheduled by the end of the year.
‘The country is preparing for the heating season, so the task of each participant in the energy market is to do its utmost to prepare for winter. DTEK ENERGY load-following capacities have repeatedly supported the Ukrainian power system, operating at maximum and smoothing out peak periods of electricity consumption. This is especially important during the heating season. Therefore, despite the difficult situation on the market, we are investing in the repair of equipment at thermal power plants in order to minimize any interruptions in operation and ensure the stable operation of TPPs and the entire energy system,’ said Ildar Salieiev, DTEK ENERGY CEO.
In total, by the end of 2021, DTEK ENERGY plans to allocate over UAH 2.5 billion for TPP repairs.
