DTEK Luhanska TPP has commenced scheduled medium repair at the power unit No. 10. Thus, preparation is in process both for the upcoming heating season and for an increase in the unit’s capacity. Its repair is DTEK ENERGY’s contribution to the country’s energy independence and the stable operation of the TPP.
The plant power engineers, together with the contractor ‘Interenergoservice’, will complete repairs within 2 months.
During the repair, boiler, turbine and electrical equipment will be diagnosed at the power unit No. 10 of DTEK Luhanska TPP. The power engineers will replace the screen tubes and heating floors, as well as repair the superheater. This will result in an increase in the reliability of the boiler heating surfaces and a decrease in the accident rate. To increase the reliability of the combination mill, its armour will be replaced. The dust system will also be repaired, including cyclones, separators, dust auger and dust feeders. Special attention will be paid to the repair of the turbine and turbine generator.
‘Since our plant is the only power generating company in the region, we must operate reliably in order to supply residents with electricity. And for this purpose it is necessary to timely repair the generating equipment. Medium repair of the power unit No. 10 will reduce the accident rate and unit consumption of equivalent fuel in order to improve the quality and competitiveness of electricity production,’ said Borys Safonov, Director of DTEK Luhanska TPP.
Repair of the plant equipment is a guarantee of reliable operation in the autumn and winter period. Presently, two units Nos. 13 and 15 operate at DTEK Luhanska TPP and bear the 340 MW load in the united energy system of Ukraine.
