Pavlohrad School No. 15 and Dmytrivka Lyceum won the first stage of the project proposals competition of the DTEK ENERGY Efficient Schools: New Generation project. Educational institutions received from the company UAH 50 thousand each for the implementation of energy-saving projects.
In Dmytrivka Lyceum, outdated incandescent bulbs are already being replaced by LED bulbs, which produce 5 times more light. At the same time, the new lighting consumes less energy.
‘We are constantly improving the energy efficiency of our lyceum. Therefore, we actively participated in the DTEK competition. We upgrade the lighting system at the cost of the grant. We plan to save more than UAH 40 thousand per year, which we will then allocate to improving the comfort of children in the lyceum,’ said Natalia Shevchenko, Director of Dmytrivka Lyceum.
Pavlohrad School No. 15 will create an energy-efficient assembly hall at the cost of the grant and funds received from other sources. In the hall, old wooden windows will be replaced with new metal-plastic ones and the ventilation of the room will be improved.
‘DTEK is a reliable partner of the communities that cares about the future of Ukraine. We are interested in people not wasting energy and not paying for extra kilowatts.
