It is one of the leading electric and thermal power producers in Ukraine.

Installed capacity of the company’s power plants totals 8,307 MW. Generating capacities of PJSC “DTEK Dniproenergo” are concentrated at three thermal power plants: DTEK Prydniprovska TPP (Dnipro), DTEK Kryvorizka TPP (Dnipropetrovs’k Region, Zelenodolsk), and DTEK Zaporizka TPP (Zaporizhzhia Region, Enerhodar).

25 power units are installed at the company’s TPPs:

• there are 4 units with a capacity of 150 MW each at DTEK Prydniprovska TPP, 3 units with a capacity of 285 MW, and 1 unit with a capacity of 310 MW. The main design fuel is ASh-grade coal, backup fuel is heavy fuel oil and gas;
• there are 10 units with a capacity of 282 MW each at DTEK Kryvorizka TPP, design fuel is T-grade coal, backup fuel is heavy fuel oil and gas;
• there are 4 pulverised coal units at Zaporizka TPP: 2 with a capacity of 325 MW, 2 with a capacity of 300 MW, 3 oil-gas units with a capacity of 800 MW. The main fuel is G and DG-grade coal, heavy fuel oil and gas.

The share of PJSC “DTEK Dniproenergo” is 8.9% of the total electric power generated in the country.

The specific fuel consumption for generation of 1 kWh of electric power is one of the lowest in Ukraine. At the beginning of 2017, the company’s staff totalled 3,815 persons.

The programme of a large-scale technical re-equipment of generating capacities continues at the TPP of the company. Thus, in 2007, an upgrade of unit No. 8 has been completed at Prydniprovska TPP, in 2012 – retofitting of unit No. 9 and overhaul repair of unit No. 1 with replacement of electrostatic precipitators. In 2008, after 12 years in static reserve, unit No. 10 of Kryvorizka TPP has been restored. In the following years unit No. 3 has been retrofitted, and retrofitting of unit No. 1 is at its final stages. Units No. 1 and 3 at Zaporizka TPP have been retrofitted with a capacity increase from 300 to 325 MW.
