DTEK Energy is a key participant in the electricity generation market in Ukraine, which produces a quarter of the country’s electricity.
The total installed capacity of our company’s generating facilities exceeds 18,448 MW.
The company’s facilities are represented by thermal power plants of DTEK Skhidenergo, DTEK Dniproenergo, DTEK Zakhidenergo, Kyivenergo and Mironovskaya TPP, an affiliate of DTEK Donetskoblenergo.
The thermal power plants supply generated electricity in the Wholesale Electricity Market of Ukraine with the exception of two TPPs, which are affiliates of DTEK Skhidenergo. Damage to the main electric networks of Ukrenergo NEC has disconnected DTEK Lugansk TPP from the United Energy System of Ukraine. The plant has been operating in island mode since September 2014. DTEK Zuivska TPP was separated from the UES of Ukraine by the Resolution of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine.
DTEK Skhidenergo consists of three TPPs in Donetsk and Lugansk Regions—Zuivska, Kurakhivska and Luganska. Their total capacity is 4,297 MW.
DTEK Dniproenergo is one of the leading electricity and thermal power producers in Ukraine. The company includes three TPPs, which are located in Zaporizhia and Dnipropetrovsk Regions,—Zaporizka, Prydniprovska and Kryvorizka. The installed capacity of the company’s power plants is 8,307 MW.
DTEK Zakhidenergo includes three TPPs in Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv and Vinnytsia Regions—Burshtynska, Dobrotvirska and Ladyzhynska TPPs, respectively. Not only is electricity generated by DTEK Zakhidenergo supplied to Ukrainian consumers, but also exported to Europe. Burshtynska TPP is successfully operating in Burshtyn Island, which is synchronized with the united European energy system ENTSO-E. The TPP covers the Island’s demand (about 3 million people) and exports up to 645 MW of power.
Kyivenergo provides end-to-end power supply in Kyiv with a single process of generation, transmission, distribution and sale of electric and thermal power. Kyivenergo generates electricity at two CHPPs with total installed capacity of 1,200 MW. The energy company includes Energia, the only waste incineration heat generating plant in Ukraine.
