DTEK Energy's coal mining enterprises continue to provide coal for the needs of thermal power generation.

In January through March of this year, the company's miners commissioned three new coal longwall faces.

‘We are already laying a more reliable foundation for thermal generation to overcome both summer consumption peaks and the coming winter. For this purpose, miners are commissioning new longwalls, and we are investing our available resources to support Ukrainian coal mining. In the first three months of the year alone, we invested almost UAH 2 billion in operation of the mines. We must continue to do everything we can to ensure that thermal generation is provided with everything it needs and that the Ukrainian energy system is a reliable mainstay,’ said DTEK Energy CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

In 2024, the company's investments in Ukrainian coal mining totalled UAH 7.5 billion, and over the last three years (2022-2024) - UAH 18 billion.

The funds were spent on the construction and repair of capital mine workings, equipping coal faces, equipping mines with tunnelling equipment, underground mine transport and projects to maintain production facilities.
