DTEK Energy's machine-building enterprises continue to provide Ukrainian mines with the equipment necessary for coal mining.

Between January and May this year, mechanical engineers manufactured and repaired 1,450 units of mining equipment, including four new shearers to drive the mine workings.

In addition, mechanical engineers supported the needs of miners by producing more than 939,000 spare parts and components.

"Reliable operation of thermal power generation, especially during peak consumption in summer and winter, largely depends on reliable coal mining. In turn, it depends on the efforts of miners, proper equipment and timely delivery of spare parts. That is why DTEK Energy's machine builders are working hard to manufacture and repair equipment, providing miners with everything they need to work," according to DTEK Energy CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.
