DTEK Energy continues to support Ukrainians who have been forced to leave their homes due to the war and move to safer regions. Since February 2022, the company’s coal mining, energy and mechanical engineering enterprises have provided jobs for nearly 5,300 internally displaced persons.
Over 80% of those employed have joined DTEK Energy’s coal mining enterprises. A significant proportion of them did not have mining qualifications and underwent training or retraining directly on the job. Among the new employees are also many young people for whom working at the company has been their first professional experience.
“The war has forced millions of Ukrainians to start their lives all over again, and it is important for us to be there for them at this time. That is why we continue to systematically implement community support programmes in the regions where our enterprises are located, helping Ukrainians to adapt and work even under the difficult conditions of a full-scale war,” said DTEK Energy CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.
