New longwall is deposited at a depth of 370 meters. Its length is 250 m. The thickness of the seam is 0.8 m.

“This is the first longwall in the Mine Group in 2020. In order to commission it in a timely manner, our team simultaneously dismantled the old working face and installed a new one. Because we understand that if there is a longwall, there is work, there is coal, there is the development of the enterprise and the region! Already today, we daily extract from it more than 2 thousand tons of coal,” Oleksii Malihon, foreman of hydraulics of section 3 of DTEK Geroiv Kosmosu Mine Group, said.

The company has invested almost UAH 54 million in the longwall equipment. Investment was directed to the overhaul of the scraper conveyor and 164 mechanized sections. At the same time, with the help of the enterprise’s units, the KA-200 shearer, the reloader, three oil stations, and electrical equipment were repaired.

Today, the Mine Group produces almost 12 thousand tons of coal from 4 longwalls every day. During the year, the team plans to commission 8 more new working faces, prepare more than 20 km of underground mine workings, and extract more than 4 million tons of coal for thermal generation in Ukraine.
