In 2025, DTEK Energy’s Mechanical Engineers Have Manufactured Eight Roadheaders and Over 2.3 Million Spare Parts for Coal Mines

DTEK Energy's mechanical engineers continue to work hard to ensure that Ukrainian mines have the necessary equipment for reliable operation and steady coal production.

By the end of 2025, DTEK Energy's machinery plants had manufactured and repaired more than 3,200 units of mining equipment. This included eight new roadheaders, one mine fan and ten Ukrainian-made electric motors.

Moreover, mechanical engineers supported the needs of miners by manufacturing over 2.3 million spare parts and components for mining machinery.

"We all pursue the same goal – to get through this, already the fourth, war winter. We are now in the middle of the heating season, so the extra efforts and coordinated work of everyone – power engineers, repairmen, miners and machine builders – are critical for the country. Ukrainian mechanical engineers are also working flat out to supply mines with the necessary equipment and spare parts. This is our contribution to the resilience of the energy system and to ensuring that Ukrainian homes have as much light and heat as possible," said DTEK Energy CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

For reference

According to preliminary data, DTEK Energy invested UAH 6.8 billion in supporting Ukrainian coal mining in 2025, and over UAH 18 billion in the previous three years (2022-2024). The funds were allocated for the construction and repair of mine workings, equipping longwalls and maintaining the production capacity of the mines.
