On the 26th August, russia committed another terrorist attack on the Ukrainian energy sector. DTEK Energy's coal processing plant was targeted.
The attack destroyed the plant's building, significantly damaged its process equipment, and caused a fire.
Fortunately, the plant's employees on duty were not injured. Rescuers from the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Ukraine were called in to extinguish the fire.
This is not the first large-scale attack by the enemy on the plant, which processed coal for the country's thermal power generation.
Due to the approaching front line and the growing threat to the lives of its employees, the company was forced to suspend its operations. Production processes were mothballed to resume work after the security situation stabilised, and people (except for the personnel on duty) were provided with work at other companies' plants.
Currently, the plant's operations are completely paralysed, and its processing facilities are in a state unsuitable for operation.
