The deputy head of Lugansk region Kateryna Bezhynska thanked everyone who helped Lugansk region during those difficult times, “The help we receive from charitable organizations is very important for us. We have already received 15 ventilators, and thanks to your help, we fully equipped the regional hospitals.” She addressed the medics separately, “I’m extremely grateful for your work that saves lives of the children living in Lugansk region in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Monnal T60 ventilators are high-end intensive care equipment that can be used both in hospitals and during transportation. Oxygen is supplied to ventilators from a central network, oxygen cylinders, or an oxygen concentrator. Thanks to the compact size of the ventilators and their mobility, they can be used at any hospital, which is important both during the epidemic and once it ends.
Hospitals received equipment within the scope of the Fighting COVID-19 in Ukraine project that became part of the Rinat Akhmetov – Saving Lives large-scale program.

“DTEK is a socially responsible company, and similarly to Rinat Akhmetov Foundation, it treats help to the health care system as one of the priorities. Luganska TPP operates in our region, our power engineers and their families live here, and it is extremely important for us to help the region during these hard times. We are sincerely grateful to doctors that they work very hard every day to treat patients,” said Borys Safonov, director of DTEK Luganska TPP.

Since the beginning of the pandemic, Lugansk region hospitals have received 20 ventilators from Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and DTEK. Foundation has purchased 200 ventilators for Ukrainian hospitals. This is the largest contribution made by a single charitable organization to the state health care system of Ukraine during the entire period of Ukraine’s independence. Today, these ventilators are used to fight the pandemic and help save Ukrainians’ lives.
