DTEK Energy’s Mechanical Engineers Have Manufactured Seven Roadheaders and Two Million Spare Parts To Support Coal Production

DTEK Energy's mechanical engineers continue to work hard to ensure that Ukrainian mines have the necessary equipment to maintain coal production.

In the first ten months of 2025, the machine builders manufactured and repaired 2,700 pieces of mining equipment. These included seven new roadheaders, one mine fan and nine Ukrainian-made electric motors.

In addition, machine builders supported the needs of miners by manufacturing more than 2 million spare parts and components.

"Even in the difficult conditions of war, mechanical engineers continue to manufacture and repair equipment, increasing the reliability of coal production. Because we all have a common goal – to get through this winter. So that Ukrainians have as much light and heat as possible," said DTEK Energy CEO Oleksandr Fomenko.

For reference

Since the beginning of 2025, DTEK Energy has invested UAH 6.1 billion in supporting Ukrainian coal mining. Last year, investments amounted to UAH 7.5 billion, and over three years (2022-2024) – more than UAH 18 billion. The funds were used to carry out and repair mining operations, equip longwalls and support the production capacities of mines.
