DTEK Energy’s machine builders continue to work in an intensified mode to provide Ukrainian mines with the equipment they need for more reliable coal production.
In January–May 2026, the company’s machine-building enterprises manufactured and repaired 787 units of mining equipment. These included six new roadheaders and longwall shearers and three Ukrainian-made electric motors. They also produced more than 909,000 spare parts and components.
“The resilience of the energy system depends on the reliable operation of each of its links. That is why our machine builders work every day to ensure Ukrainian mines are supplied with the necessary equipment, spare parts and components. Manufacturing new equipment and repairing existing machinery help support more reliable coal production, and therefore create the foundation for the reliable operation of thermal generation and the country’s energy system as a whole. We continue preparing for summer consumption peaks and the next heating season,” emphasized Oleksandr Fomenko, CEO of DTEK Energy.
Background
In the first four months of this year, DTEK Energy invested almost UAH 3 bln in supporting Ukraine’s coal mining sector, and almost UAH 28 bln since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
