Miner, previously injured at Yuvileina Mine, has died in intensive care

A longwall miner injured in an accident on January 29, 2020, at Yuvileina Mine of Pershotravenske Mine Group, has died today in the hospital.

The accident occurred at the enterprise on January 29. While performing work at longwall 130, the miner received a severe injury to his right leg. The resuscitation brigade of the Pavlograd paramilitary mine rescue team was immediately called to the scene. The victim was taken to Pavlograd intensive care hospital.

The doctors fought for the miner’s life for five days. The Mine Group provided medicine and everything necessary. Unfortunately, the injuries sustained were fatal.

The management and staff of Pershotravenske Mine Group express their condolences to the family and friends of the victim. All necessary support will be provided to them. The reasons for the accident at the Mine are being established by a special commission.
