DTEK Energy's machine-building companies continue to work hard to support the needs of Ukrainian coal mining for the necessary equipment.
In January to April this year, the company's mechanical engineers manufactured and repaired 553 units of underground mining equipment. Among the key ones are 6 new tunnelling machines and shearers.
Mechanical engineers also supplied 355 thousand spare parts and components to meet the needs of Ukrainian miners.
These production performance results of the company's machine-building operations allow us to lay a more reliable foundation to get Ukraine through the next heating season.
‘The next winter is a real challenge for all power engineers, as the energy system has lost more than 8 GW of capacity because of russia's recent massive attacks. The losses are enormous. That is why we are focusing all our efforts on restoring the damaged and destroyed thermal generation. It suffered the most. Despite a significant drop in coal consumption by our thermal power plants, we are doing everything possible to maintain the production output at the same level as last year. We also rely on our mechanical engineers to provide miners with everything they need. We are doing our utmost to ensure that Ukrainians have electricity,’ said DTEK Energy CEO Ildar Salieiev.
