In a bid to uphold the reliability of Ukrainian coal mining, DTEK Energy’s machine-building enterprises have rolled out the first two combines of the year.
This news was shared by Ildar Salieiev, DTEK Energy CEO, on his Facebook page.
“The sound of newly manufactured combines is a source of inspiration for a machine-building plant’s production manager in these turbulent times. The pleasure is doubled when there are two of them, a tunneling and a cleaning one, and these are the first ones this year. However, the main point of pride is not merely that DTEK Energy’s machine builders produced two combines simultaneously. It’s not just about the technologically advanced, high-quality, and reliable equipment that aids miners in producing coal more efficiently,” Salieiev said.
He emphasized that the key point is that, despite the challenging conditions of the war, the plant’s employees remain undeterred and continue to contribute to the collective effort. They support miners and power engineers who are striving to keep Ukrainians supplied with electricity and heat during this heating season, helping to initiate new longwall faces and lay a solid foundation for the next heating season.
“The miners’ task for this year remains unchanged – despite the war, they must maintain coal production at the maximum and sufficient level,” the DTEK Energy CEO stated.
He also revealed that in addition to the combines, the company’s machine builders manufactured and repaired 90 units of mining equipment and produced 67,000 spare parts and components in January this year.
"More to come," Salieiev assured.
