UAH 382 million to achieve the production capacity of Dniprovska Mine

Record 1,800,000 tons of coal were produced by miners at DTEK Dniprovska Mine in the last year. For the first time in 44 years of operation, the enterprise reached its design capacity: the maximum volume of coal production at the Mine was calculated. This is an outstanding event because it is an indicator of achievement of the team’s skill. The extracted fuel was sent to domestic thermal power plants to ensure heat and light in Ukrainian households.

Coal is mined at two sites. The best indicator of 2019 for the team of site 3 is more than 890 thousand tons. Miners of site 6 produced almost 525 thousand tons of coal. Another 385 thousand tons – from tunneling faces.

“Prior to that, the highest indicator was achieved in 2015 – 1,700,000 tons – at three sites. And in 2019, 1,800,000 tons were mined at two sites. This is a big step in production, and we made it as a result of a clearly structured operation strategy for all Mine Group production links, investment, and people’s attitude to performing shift tasks. I want to thank the entire team of Dniprovske Mine Group. Special thanks to auxiliary sites, without which the production process is impossible,” Oleksandr Husiev, Director of DTEK Dniprovske Mine Group, noted.

Last year, DTEK invested more than UAH 382 million in the production of the Mine. Those funds were used to purchase and overhaul equipment for new longwalls, etc.
