Home page Preparation for the AWP

WHAT IS AN AWP?

The power system experiences the greatest load during the autumn-winter period (AWP) or heating season. Due to low temperatures and increased energy consumption, generating companies must operate as reliably and steadily as possible to meet the electricity demands of households, industry, and critical infrastructure. That is why, starting in February or March, all energy companies begin preparing for the next winter: producing mining equipment for stable coal production, preparing and launching coal faces, mining and storing coal for thermal power plants, and repairing thermal power plants.
