DTEK Energy's companies continue to intensively prepare for the upcoming heating season. Power engineers repair and restore TPPs, while miners maintain the fuel reserves needed to run the power plants.
In January-July this year, the company's miners have already brought 11 new longwalls into operation. This allows us to meet the fuel needs of thermal power plants during summer peaks and accumulate sufficient reserves for the upcoming heating season.
‘The upcoming heating season is a huge challenge for all of us. Every Ukrainian has already felt the consequences of massive shelling of the energy system. That is why we are strengthening the energy front to minimise their impact in winter. Our power engineers are working to restore the damaged and destroyed TPPs as soon as possible. And miners are doing everything possible to ensure that these facilities have sufficient fuel stocks to cover summer and winter peaks in electricity consumption. To this end, we are implementing our plan to put 27 new longwalls into operation this year. We have already started 11 of them and plan to start 16 more in August and December,’ said DTEK Energy CEO Ildar Salieiev.
