The houses of Shchastya residents will be warm and cozy during a cold season. DTEK Luganska TPP took care of that. Power engineers repaired the section of the heating network on the power plant territory, from boiler units to municipal heating networks. This work is performed annually between heating seasons to ensure stable and reliable heat supply to Shchastya.
This year, the scheduled repair works started in August. The power engineers performed the maintenance of the shut-off valves of manifold No. 1, replaced defective sections of the pipelines, and inspected heat meters. To prevent and remove pipe breaks, we pressure-tested manifolds Nos. 1 and 2.
To prevent the combustion of manifold insulation, dry grass and young trees were removed along the pipelines.
“The company uses every effort to ensure stable operations of its businesses. To ensure reliable heat supply, we replaced 70 meters of pipelines of the heating network supplying a water pumping station and a city stadium. Today, the plant section of the heating network is completely operable,” said Borys Safonov, director of DTEK Luganska TPP.
The aggregate length of heating networks serviced by Luganska TPP exceeds nine kilometers.
By October 16, 2020, the heating system of 120 out of 141 residential buildings in Shchastya has been filled in according to schedule. DTEK Luganska TPP is ready to supply heat once the relevant resolution is adopted by local authorities.
