One Employee Killed as a Result of Shelling at the DTEK Energy Coal Business

To our deepest regret, on the 26th August, while performing his duties, Serhii Mushtei, a driver at the mine vehicle depot, was tragically killed as a result of hostile shelling at one of the DTEK Energy mines.

Serhii was due to celebrate his birthday in just a week, but now he will forever remain 54 years old.

Serhii devoted almost his entire working life to his beloved job. For over 30 years, he conscientiously and responsibly drove trucks, delivering equipment and materials to the mines. For this, he received industry awards and the respect of his colleagues.

His dedication, responsibility and humanity will forever remain in the memory of those who had the honour of working alongside him.

This is a great loss for the entire DTEK Energy family.

We express our sincere condolences to his family, friends and loved ones. Thousands of Ukrainian miners and power engineers bow their heads in grief with you. May the memory of this bright person live on...

We’ll remind you that on the 26th August, enemies attacked one of DTEK Energy's coal mining enterprises. As a result, one employee was killed and three others were injured.
